A Few Words from the author of

"A Need to Feed" Cookbook.....

_x0000_i1032

"I have a need to feed people.

My friends know I love to see their shining, smiling faces at my table... sharing bread. "Here eat. Have some more." These are words I grew up hearing from my Nona and Grandma. Beautiful, precious memories of tables laden with an over abundance of food. And the table itself, sturdy and kind, supporting elbows of enthusiastic relatives with bottomless appetites. "Eat."  We would.  We did.

A home filled with aromas from the kitchen is a hug to all who enter. Relax, enjoy the therapeutic process of cooking and then dine on the fruits of your labor. So, set the table, gather your family, cook together. It is an important way to stay connected to your daughter, your son, and those significant in your life.

Dinner together as a family is one thing my Mother has always insisted upon and I thank her for that to this day. When we were growing up, it did not matter how late we all worked in the family business, "Tony Panozzo's Market". Even if it was 9:00 or 10:00 at night, a full meal was put on the table with at least 3 or more fresh vegetables usually picked from my Dad's field that day.

All of us would pitch in and make the meal appear. We never took one vacation together but it does not matter, because we shared numerous, delicious meals. We broke bread together. That is sacred and has kept us close. So thank you, Mom and Dad."
